How does it work?

For starters, when you open the app on your phone, it offers you multiple ways to use it. The first and fastest way is to use the AirDroid web option, which works in local connection mode using your WiFi network. It assigns an IP address to your phone, which you can easily access in your browser.
This is the fastest way to transfer files as well as manage your device, as it uses the bandwidth of your WiFi network, giving you maximum speed. It also has no limits on file transfers and is completely free.
The second way is logging into your AirDroid account, which is a great alternative if your devices aren't on the same WiFi network. First, you log in using your AirDroid account on both devices (the Android and the browser) and then connect them using a remote connection where both devices use their own internet connections.
The problem with this method is that it only allows you to transfer up to 200 MB of remote data per month for free, after which you have to upgrade to the premium version.
